Complex
“SWIFT-Terminal”
Certificate of State Registration
of the Intellectual Property Object No 299 of 24.12.2002
Purpose:
The complex has been designed to be used together with the RSE BSB-developed systems/subsystems
The complex ensures automation of exchange with SWIFT-like MT-messages between Kazakhstani Interbank Settlement Center clients and the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan through flexibly adjusting formats of messages, formation of digital signatures and encryption.
Configuration:
The complex consists of the “Directory of Formats and Customers”, “File Loader”, “MT-Message Interpreter”, “Backup Manager” and “Clear of Incoming and Outgoing Messages” modules and terminal database.
Ergonomics and aesthetics:
The software ergonomic solutions ensure convenience and efficiency for the users. Complicated operations for complex adjustment are implemented with help of special wizards.
Architecture:
It is a client-server architecture that enables working in the local network using the TCP/IP protocol.
”Directory of Formats and Customers” module enables:
§
to create new formats of MT-messages, change and delete the formats created before;
§
to export formats in one computer and subsequently import the received files in another computer;
§
to keep a reference directory of the complex clients: to add, change and delete the customer attributes;
§
to assign the rights to customers to send/receive MT-messages of particular formats;
§
to print out the list of customers and formats registered in this terminal
“File Loader” module enables the user:
§
to unload concurrently MT-messages from Oracle and FireBird databases (and from specified catalogues) to files and to download from files to the database of terminal (and to specified catalogues) in multiple queues;
§
to carry out encryption/decryption of transmitted information using a digital signature and “Tumar-7” cryptographic protection library;
§
to redirect MT-messages from random catalogues to the specified catalogues in multiple queues simultaneously;
§
to maintain flexible adjustment of connections to the external databases which the complex interacts with and adjustment of incoming/outgoing waiting lines and redirection priority;
§
to use flexible filters that allow effective sorting of incoming/outgoing messages;
§
to remove erroneous MT-messages of each incoming waiting line to a specified catalogue and notify the initial database about an error in the outgoing MT-message;
§
to review the register of incoming and outgoing MT-messages of the complex and divide them into successfully processed and erroneous.
”MT-messages interpreter” module enables the user:
§
to verify compliance of the structure of incoming/outgoing MT-messages with the format determined with the help of “Directory of Formats and Customers”;
§
to check permission of a terminal customer of terminal to receive/send certain types of MT-messages;
§
to maintain screening of MT-messages inconsistent with a format/authorizations;
§
to unload the received MT-messages consistent with a format and permitted to a customer from the database of terminal to the interacting Oracle and FireBird databases;
§
to start/shut down a FireBird server.
”Backup Manager” module enables the user:
§
to create archive copies of databases of the terminal;
§
to recreate the terminal database from the selected archive copy in the temporary catalogue;
§
to examine registers of incoming/outgoing MT-messages in the recovered archive database.
”Clear of Incoming and Outgoing Messages” module enables the user:
§
to maintain full and partial (up to the stated date) clearing of the terminal database from incoming/outgoing MT-messages.
Terminal database is intended:
§
to store descriptions of the MT-messages processed by the terminal;
§
to store the directory of terminal customers;
§
to store authorizations for specific incoming/outgoing MT-messages of certain customers;
§
to store incoming/outgoing MT-messages processed by the terminal (except transit messages unless otherwise is specified in settings);
§
to store the terminal data processing registers
All modules of the complex maintain journals that reflect their operations regarding incoming/outgoing messages.
