Automated inquiry system

“Bank Passport”

Purpose:

The subsystem has been designed to be used in the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The subsystem ensures automation of the process of centralized maintenance of the inquiry information about resident/non-resident second-tier banks, branches of the banks and their representative offices.

Configuration:

The system consists of the automated modules such as “Curator”, “Administrator” and “SybaseAutoBackup”.

Ergonomics and aesthetics:

The system has been developed in order unify data and replace manual entry with selection of value from the list offered by the subsystem applications in all cases where it is possible.

Architecture:

It is a client-server architecture that enables working in the local network using the TCP/IP protocol.

“Curator” module enables the user:

§         to enter data to the reference directories of the system, change and delete data entered before;

§         to register banks/branches/representatives/cash settlement centers of the resident banks in the system;

§         to register banks/representative offices of the non-resident banks in the system;

§         to fill in and change: the banking details, authorized persons, stated charter capital and information about the founders;

§         to keep records of registration in the Ministry of Justice, registration/re-registration of the charter capital, securities, bank stockholders; registration of the issue report registration;

§         to keep records of the management of the banks/branches/representative offices;

§         to keep records of the issued licenses for banking operations;

§         to keep records of licenses issued for the securities market participants;

§         to keep records of inspections conducted by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

§         to keep records of audits;

§         to keep records of limited penalties;

§         to keep records of sanctions against the banks;

§         to keep records of reorganizations of the banks;

§         to keep records of the bank liquidations;

§    to generate output forms for bank/banks, branch/branches, representative office/ representative offices and management;

§         to save all output forms in MS Excel files;

§         to change one’s own password.

“Administrator” module enables the user:

§         to create, change and block users/groups of the system;

§         to register banks/representative offices of the banks in the system;

§         to assign the user access rights to the data and functions of the system;

§         to assign passwords to users;

§         to enter data to the reference directories of the modules, change and delete data entered before.

“SybaseAutoBackup” module enables the user:

§         to make backup of the Sybase database in accordance with the administrator’s schedule and scenario;

§         to review the backup journal.

Auxiliary software:

To operate the system it is necessary to use Sybase Server 11.0.2 (Russian language) software and Microsoft Excel 97/2000.

Information security:

is provided by the DBMS Sybase Server 11.0.2, as well as the “Administrator” module. The following functions are realized in the system: authorization of users through assignment of logins and passwords and restriction of the user access rights to the data and functions of the system.

Standard package includes:

It includes a compact disk containing software for the “Curator”, “Administrator” and “SybaseAutoBackup” modules as well as a manual in the Russian language.

Installation terms:

Installation and training of users will take not less than a month.

Technical support:

Warranty technical support (during six months after commissioning) and after-warranty support (at the customer’s wish based on the contractual agreement). The following services are provided within the framework of technical support:

§ Correction of program errors identified during the process of software exploitation;

§ Consulting services for the customers concerning application of the software;

§ Delivery of the updated software;

§ Consulting services in the event of substandard situations.

Customization:

Customization is possible (subject to the Auxiliary discussion).

Currently the system is operating in:
